Debroah, I have a question, do you cut your atc's to size first and then paint, or paint and then cut? Trying to work out the logistics for myself as I'm becoming very intrigued.
Yep, I cut them to size first and then paint. I need to know the actual size to compose, and I often lay my small photo alongside the paper to actually see and compare the scale of things. It helps me to recognize that the mountain range can actually be only 1/4" high and look huge in the composition...I devised a piece of mat board, cut out to fit my paper, with a simple piece of tape across the back. This way I can easily handle the ATC without leaving fingerprints. Look here for a photo: http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showpost.php?p=13489432&postcount=217
