Morning Gold

I wanted to vary the backgrounds and colors of the flowers in this series because I'm considering grouping them into one 9-image mat, but for the moment they are still available individually--in case there is someone out there even considering purchasing one! I'm tempted to say "Limited Time Offer" but that's SO tacky! Besides, I figure no one is actually visiting this blog since I haven't had a comment in so long. For the record, this is on Arches 300 lb. cold press. I really like the combination of colors.

  3. Thank you so much, Jane! I think they'll look good in one mat, too.

Sandeep, this is so nice to read. I'm glad you like it, and thank you for commenting.

I guess I'm not alone here... Didn't mean to complain, but I appreciate knowing others are watching.

If anyone wants to see the 9 paintings in one you can go to post #8 here: http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=629724

  4. Oh wow, I thought these painting mega cool to begin with and then when I actually read the post and saw they were atc's I was blown away. I have seen a plethora of atc's in the last year and a half but none of them even remotely touched yours. I've contemplated doing them but never actually saw very many I'd want to trade for. Hmm now I have no excuse whatsoever not to start. I'm so glad I discovered your sites through wetcanvas.

  5. Thanks, Margo, that's nice to read! I'm glad you like them. I hope you have fun giving ATCs a try. I had an article in Watercolor Artist Magazine in February about switching over from painting solely in pastels for over 25 years to gouache, and reducing the scale to this size. I love the medium and painting small is very satisfying.
